Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data INSTAMAX LTD (trading as Onimator) collects when you visit onimator.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Who we are

The controller of your personal data is INSTAMAX LTD, a private limited company registered in England & Wales, trading as Onimator. Registered office: Suite 18 Equity Chambers, 249 High Street North, Poole, United Kingdom, BH15 1DX.

Where this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means INSTAMAX LTD.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the public website at onimator.com, including the blog, the knowledge base and the glossary.

It does not cover:

  • the checkout, which runs on souls.onimator.com and is operated for us by Chargebee. We never see or store your card details;
  • the Onimator application and customer portal, which are governed by our Terms and by the agreement you enter into when you buy a licence.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or submit a form in order to read this website. In normal use we collect only what your browser sends and what our measurement tools record:

  • Usage data — pages you view, how you arrived (referring site, campaign parameters in the link), how long you stay, scrolling, clicks on outbound links, file downloads and video engagement.
  • Technical data — browser and operating system, device type, screen size, language, and an approximate location (usually city level) derived from your IP address. Google Analytics uses the IP address to derive that location and does not log or store the address itself.
  • Advertising identifiers — if you reach us from a Google or Microsoft ad, the click identifier in the link (gclid, wbraid, gbraid or msclkid).
  • Your consent choice — which cookie categories you accepted, with a random identifier and a timestamp, so we can prove the choice was made and honour it on your next visit.

We do not buy personal data about you, and we do not sell yours.

Cookies and similar technologies

Nothing except the strictly necessary cookie is set before you choose. Until you accept, analytics and advertising storage are switched off using Google Consent Mode, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the cookie settings in the site footer.

CookieSet byPurposeDuration
occ_consentOnimatorStores which cookie categories you accepted. Strictly necessary.180 days
oni_clickOnimatorStores the advertising click identifier so a later purchase can be attributed to the ad. Set only with marketing consent.90 days
_gaGoogle AnalyticsDistinguishes one visitor from another. Set only with analytics consent.2 years
_ga_GS2BSZM9V8Google AnalyticsMaintains the analytics session. Set only with analytics consent.2 years

With marketing consent, Google may also set cookies on its own domains (for example google.com and doubleclick.net) for advertising measurement and remarketing. Cloudflare, which sits in front of this site, may set a strictly necessary cookie to distinguish automated traffic from people.

Advertising and remarketing

If — and only if — you accept marketing cookies:

  • we may show you Onimator ads on Google properties and partner sites after you have visited us (remarketing). Audiences are built from behaviour on this site, such as having opened the pricing section or clicked a purchase button;
  • Google Signals may associate your visit with your Google account where you have enabled Ads Personalisation, which lets us measure across the devices you use;
  • the advertising click identifier described above may be used to record that an ad led to a purchase.

You can review and switch off ads personalisation at any time in your Google Ad Centre, independently of any choice you make here. Google’s own handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Why we are allowed to do this

  • Consent — analytics, advertising and remarketing. You give it in the cookie banner and can withdraw it at any time, with no effect on what happened before you withdrew it.
  • Legitimate interests — keeping the site available, secure and free of automated abuse, and understanding demand in aggregate. We rely on this only where your rights do not override it.
  • Contract — where you buy a licence, processing needed to deliver it. That processing is described in our Terms.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers, each acting on our instructions or as an independent controller for their own part:

  • Google — Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager and Google Ads (measurement, advertising and remarketing).
  • Chargebee — subscription checkout and billing on souls.onimator.com.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, proxy and protection against automated abuse.
  • Shinjiru — hosting of the website files.
  • Bunny.net — delivery of the videos embedded on the site.

We do not disclose your data to anyone else except where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

Transfers outside the UK and EEA

Some of the providers above process data in the United States and other countries. Those transfers rely on the safeguards each provider offers — typically the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and, where applicable, certification under the EU–US and UK–US Data Privacy Frameworks.

How long we keep it

  • Analytics event data — 14 months, then deleted by Google Analytics.
  • Advertising click identifier — 90 days.
  • Consent record — 180 days, after which you are asked again.
  • Server and security logs — kept by our hosting and CDN providers for short operational periods under their own retention rules.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable form. You can also withdraw consent at any time. We answer within one month.

Because this website does not ask who you are, we usually cannot connect a cookie identifier to a named person. If you want a request handled, tell us which browser and approximate dates are involved, or send the identifier stored in your occ_consent cookie, so we can find the right records.

If you believe we have handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you are entitled to complain to a supervisory authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office; in the EEA it is the authority where you live.

Children

Onimator is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When what we collect changes, this page changes with it and the date below is updated. Material changes are also reflected in the cookie banner, which will ask for your choice again.
