To build a reels farm with Onimator, give every Instagram account its own app clone and IP, have your AI agent write weeks of scheduled posts into one CSV file, import it under Bulk Imports → Scheduled Posts, and let Engage and Human Behaviour Emulation warm the accounts up in the background. Once the accounts are set up, configuring the farm takes about ten minutes and covers weeks ahead.
Onimator is the software that drives the real Instagram app on Android phones, cloud phones and emulators, and IGBot is its Instagram module. It taps the app the same way your thumb would, so every reel goes out through the real app on a real device.
What is a reels farm?
A reels farm is a set of devices, each running its own Instagram accounts, where every account publishes reels on a schedule. More accounts means more reels, and more chances to reach new people.
The idea is simple. The hard part has always been uploading everything by hand, every day. That's the part Onimator takes over: you prepare the schedule once and the devices post it.
One account posting reels is a hobby. Ten phones posting reels every day is a farm. The difference isn't the content. It's whether the posting runs without you.
The 30-Second Version
- Put each account in its own clone, with its own IP, logged in on the device.
- Drop your videos into one folder.
- Ask your AI agent to spread them across your accounts and write the schedule in Onimator's CSV format.
- Import the file under Bulk Imports → Scheduled Posts.
- Turn on Enable Scheduled Posts on each account.
- Run Engage and Human Behaviour Emulation so the accounts warm up while they post.
What do you need before you start?
Devices. Real phones, cloud phones or emulators. See real phone vs cloud phone vs emulator for the trade-offs.
One clone and one IP per account. Several accounts can share a phone, each in its own app clone. They should never share an IP.
Accounts logged in by hand. Onimator never logs in for you. It automates the account that's already open in the app. See How to Add Your First Account.
A Timer on every account. A new account arrives with Start and End at 0, which means it never runs. See How to Set Up Timers.
The Media Path set in Global Settings → General → Media Path. Scheduled media has to live in the phone's media folder.
How do you let your AI agent build the schedule?
Put your videos in one folder, then open your AI agent, such as Claude Code or Codex, and ask something like:
Spread these videos across my accounts, one reel every few hours,
for the next two weeks. Write a different caption for each one.
The agent writes the schedule in Onimator's scheduled-posts CSV format. If it's connected to Onimator through MCP, it can read your device and account list itself. See How to Connect Claude Code to Onimator via MCP.
These are the columns the file uses, in this order:
| Column | What goes in it |
|---|---|
deviceid |
The phone that posts |
username |
The account that posts |
schedule_date |
DD/MM/YYYY, for example 26/10/2026 |
schedule_time |
HH:MM, 24-hour clock, for example 20:00 |
media_file_path |
The full path to the video, including its extension |
caption |
A different one per post |
song |
Optional. The bot picks the top search result |
post_type |
reels, post or story, in lowercase |
post_location |
Optional. The bot picks the top result |
tag_people |
Optional. Usernames to tag |
enable_reel_trial |
TRUE to post the reel as a Trial Reel. Only works with post_type set to reels |
unique_preset |
Photo uniquification: off, Light, Medium or Aggressive. Photos only, it has no effect on videos. off publishes the file as it is |
A single row for a Trial Reel looks like this:
deviceid,username,schedule_date,schedule_time,media_file_path,caption,song,post_type,post_location,tag_people,enable_reel_trial,unique_preset
YOUR_DEVICE_ID,youraccount,26/10/2026,20:00,C:\Reels\clip01.mp4,Your caption here,daisies,reels,,,TRUE,off
More detail on the import itself is in How to Schedule Posts Using CSV.
Ask for a different caption on every post. The same caption going out on dozens of accounts is an easy pattern to link. That one line in the prompt is what stops it.
How do you import the schedule?
- In the sidebar, open Bulk Imports → Scheduled Posts.
- Click Import Scheduled Posts and choose the CSV file.
- Click Import. Larger files take longer, but there's no need to refresh.
- On each account, open Settings → Post and make sure Enable Scheduled Posts is on.
The queue is now full for as far ahead as the file goes. Each account's Scheduled Posts List shows what's waiting and what's already published.
What else can the queue post?
A reels farm doesn't have to be reels only. The same queue handles:
Feed posts, reels and stories from one schedule, set by post_type.
Stories with a clickable link sticker, so views turn into traffic. See How to Schedule an Instagram Story with a Link Sticker.
Trial Reels, which Instagram shows to non-followers first, before your followers see them. In the CSV, set enable_reel_trial to TRUE on a row whose post_type is reels. For a single post, tick Enable Reel Trial in the Post Scheduling Tool. Ask your AI agent to fill the column in for you, and every reel in the schedule can go out as a trial.
Location, music and tagged people on any scheduled post.
How does warm-up fit in?
Posting is only half the job. New accounts need warm-up, and in a reels farm it runs alongside the posting.
Engage visits profiles from the source accounts you choose and, in one visit, watches a story, watches a reel or likes a post. Its daily limit can rise automatically, day by day. See the Engage Tool guide.
Human Behaviour Emulation adds story watching, feed scrolling and Explore browsing between tasks, so each account looks like a person using the app. See Human Behaviour Emulation.
Not every account has to post yet. Some can run only Engage and Human Behaviour Emulation in the background, building activity every day, and start posting whenever you decide.
Keep posting light while accounts are new. Our own fleet posts 2 times a day per account during the 25-day warm-up and raises volume only after that. The full ramp is in How to Warm Up Instagram Accounts at Scale.
What does a fleet add up to?
Take 20 phones with 5 accounts each, 100 accounts in total:
| Stage | Posts per account a day | Fleet per day | Fleet per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| During warm-up | 2 | 200 | 6,000 |
| Warmed accounts | up to 10 | 1,000 | 30,000 |
Once every account has ramped its like cap to 50 a day, Engage adds 5,000 likes a day across the fleet.
These are arithmetic, not measurements. They're the per-account settings multiplied by the fleet. The real totals depend on how many accounts are warmed and what you schedule.
Safety & Best Practice
Stagger posting times. A hundred accounts posting at exactly 09:00 is a pattern. Ask the agent to spread times across the day.
Vary the files, not just the captions. Don't post the identical video on many accounts at once. Photo uniquification makes each photo byte-distinct, but it has no effect on video, so edit or re-export shared videos before scheduling them.
Keep each account on its own IP. Accounts sharing an address look like one operator. See mobile vs residential vs datacenter proxies.
Ramp before you scale. Raising posting volume on new accounts is the fastest way to lose them.
Common Issues
Nothing is posting. Enable Scheduled Posts is off on the account, or the Media Path isn't set in Global Settings.
The import fails or posts land on the wrong day. Check the date format is DD/MM/YYYY and the time is HH:MM on a 24-hour clock.
A post fails at publish time. The file path in media_file_path is wrong or the file isn't in the phone's media folder.
A reel went up as a feed post. post_type must be reels, in lowercase.
An account never runs at all. The Timer is still 0 to 0. See How to Fix an Account That Is Not Running.
FAQ
What is a reels farm?
A set of devices, each running its own Instagram accounts, where every account publishes reels on a schedule. Onimator runs the posting and the warm-up so it doesn't depend on uploading by hand.
How long does it take to set up a reels farm?
Once your accounts are added, logged in and on their own IPs, configuring the schedule and warm-up takes about ten minutes and covers weeks ahead.
How many reels should each account post a day?
Keep new accounts to about 2 posts a day during warm-up. Raise volume only once the accounts have a few weeks of history.
Can my AI agent write the schedule?
Yes. Ask it to spread your videos across your accounts and write the file in Onimator's scheduled-posts CSV format, then import it under Bulk Imports → Scheduled Posts.
Can I schedule stories and feed posts too?
Yes. The same queue handles reels, feed posts and stories, including stories with a clickable link sticker.
